Jake Hubbell is a native of Western Colorado, born in Carbondale and raised in Marble and Crawford, small towns in the heart of the Elk Mountains. The son of an outfitting family, Jake was helping guide horseback rides at an early age. He grew up fly-fishing the Roaring Fork, Crystal, and Frying Pan rivers, hiking to high-country lakes and streams, and hunting elk in the high country.

As a high school student in Hotchkiss, Jake excelled at wrestling and started at wide receiver on the football team, yet his best achievements were in the classroom. Jake graduated high school with an Associate of Science degree and parlayed that success into the Professional Land and Resource Management (PLRM) degree program at Western State Colorado University in Gunnison. As one of the top students in the program, Jake graduated Magna cum Laude in 2017—debt free, in three years. He became a licensed real estate broker while finishing his senior year of college.

The PLRM program is centered around mineral rights leasing for the oil and gas industry, with a curriculum that is also ideal for Western ranch brokerage. A native of western Colorado, Gary spent over two decades guiding Aspen-area clients on fly-fishing and hunting expeditions, upland bird hunts, waterfowl hunts, and horseback rides. His outfitting business, OutWest Guides, became famous in the Aspen area for providing 5-star experiences for discriminating clientele. At one point, Gary and his wife, Doris, maintained a herd of 45 hard-working horses and mules.

Gary Hubbell worked many years as a professional writer, photographer, location scout, and producer for photo shoots and film productions. He has worked on marketing campaigns for Marlboro, Coors, Victoria’s Secret, UnderArmour, Izod, Bushnell, ATK, Weaver rifle scopes, K2 skis, Remington, Ralph Lauren Chaps, Santa Cruz snowboards, Fenwick fly rods, Ford, Seiko, and many others. Gary has won 2 Colorado Press Awards, a Colorado Book Award, an American Horse Publications writing award, and 7 United Country Marketing Services national auction marketing awards. Gary has been at the forefront of drone property video production in Western Colorado, with his son Jake serving as drone pilot.

In 2016, Gary attended the Texas Auction Academy led by Mike Jones, a former World Champion Auctioneer and president of United Country Auction Services. One of his sales included the former World Record American Elk taken by John Plute near Crested Butte in 1899. Polo has been a large part of Spencer Jordan's life since he was a young boy growing up in Connecticut. Spencer's father, Leighton Jordan, is a US Polo Association governor and started Saratoga Polo Club in upstate New York in the 1970's, and then helped found the Greenwich Polo Club in Connecticut. These connections to the polo world allowed Spencer to travel widely, competing in tournaments and matches in New England, England, Jamaica, Canada, Florida, South Carolina, the Hamptons, and Colorado. Of these destinations, Colorado is his favorite state.
